  • Overview

    This temporary position will be working with Clinical Contracts and Budgets team and other team members within Clinical Development, Project Management, Finance and Legal to coordinate contract, budgeting and other business activities to facilitate clinical research.  This position may help with other Clinical Contracts and Budgets tasks as appropriate

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate with Accounts Payable to support end to end Procure-to-Pay processes such as contract signature, purchase requests and document flow.
    • Review clinical invoices for accuracy, assign appropriate financial codes and obtain appropriate approvals for invoice processing.
    • Execute confidential disclosure agreements (CDAs) and support contract negotiation as requested, consistent with level of experience.
    • Review finalized contracts for completeness and accuracy and ensures adherence to department guidelines.
    • Maintain a centralized contract inventory including in-process and fully executed contracts and other legal and financial files. Ensure that all such records are accurately maintained.
    • Work cross functionally with various departments to support the resolution of issues related to contracting and cross-functional initiatives.
    • Maintain a centralized address book of business contacts for external parties.
    • Support the continuous improvement of templates, playbooks and workflow processes.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in a clinical research/pharmaceutical environment.
    • Bachelor’s Degree required in business or finance.
    • Must be able to work effectively in a matrix environment.
    • Must be self-motivated and pro-active as well as excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
    • Must have strong technical skills in MS Office Suite.

    Additional knowledge and skills desired, but not required:

    • A BS with a science focus is preferred.
